January 8th is my granddaughter Yako's birthday. She became 4 years old. Her grandma (mother of her father=not I) sent a large box being full of presents. But my husband and I forgot about it. Beginning of this month, I memorized it. But her birthday has passed during we forgot about it.

My daughter pushed me to give Yako her birthday present. But I have no interest about it. Yako already has many things around her. When I was a child, birthday was a special day to be given something that usually could not get. But she looks as if she could get anything she wants. Too many goods is not good for children. This is my belief.
