Telly Addict

Baby Fitz is not particularly into TV but for some reason he was glued to the Tweenies this morning. I, on the other hand, find them a bit weird.

Kid's TV is an endless source of bafflement to me. There is just so much of it nowadays. When I was wee you had an hour and half from four o'clock, much of which was earnest drama graduates blowing into bassoons or talking to stuffed toys resembling the rabbit from Donnie Darko.

Now, it runs continuously throughout the day. Everything is either computer generated or takes place in the type of sets which could only be imagined by someone who has spent their life inside a bag of Skittles while tripping on very strong acid.

Still, the wee man doesn't seem to mind.
