The End...And The Beginning

Dolly here again today!

Well, Christmas is over, I guess! Mum FINALLY took down the tree today! I supervised! We still have some Santas who refused to go hibernate under the stairs! I guess I can't blame them! The skiing is also over. At least for now. We hope there will be more to watch this winter.

We had LOTS of rain today! We didn't even leave the house! Mum had to get some work done at her desk. I REFUSED to join her upstairs! Deskwork is SO boring! But then she decided it was a good day for a movie! We got this DVD from our friends in Sweden and the plan was always to all watch it at the same time! So that is what we did! We do this with them with Netflix and skiing and it works! We press GO at the same time and chat a bit over WhatsApp as we watch. Gotta love this technology!

Anyway - this was a good movie. The humans had seen it before but not in a long time. Mum says there's lots of themes in it but she was struck by how each year is a bit like a pilgrimage. We are just at the beginning of the journey of 2017. We are not entirely sure what will happen or who we will meet along the way to be our companions. There will be a few miracles along the way but also probably some conflict. We will do better if we learn to lean on each other and carry each other's burdens but ultimately learn to depend on God and seek him in all things.

Speaking of journeys - I'm wondering if we are going on any more exciting adventures this year? I'm ready! And so are my travelling companions here in the picture - Moose, Andre the seal and Piggy - who all joined us on our Sweden trip last year. Mum?
