A fire in the stove tonight, the first for a while. Partly because it's a little colder (with snow forecast this weekend) but mainly because the scouting Birthday boy was given a present of some flint and steel and was keen to show off his skills.

Sports night tonight with the middle boy back at indoor hockey (he was delighted to be back) and the eldest trying out land training with the swim club and a wee 3.5k run for myself during these activities.

That and a productive day at work, tea, biscuits and a chat with a good pal after school and the initial dent on sorting the holiday washing pile in the evening. All in all a rather fine Tuesday.
