The Ice is Melting.....But......

There is still ice on the pond, but it has been melting today; however, another cold front is coming through tonight. I don't think the cold will last for long, except nights will be very cold for awhile. This is a very strange colder than usual winter. Even if we missed about two weeks of the really cold snowy in December, I am really tired of this weather.....too much winter for me. I like the wet mild winters we usually have in the Pacific Northwest. 
At least the snow and ice can be beautiful and I was glad to get this little plant on the side of the pond when I photographed the ice near the shore and a bit of thawed water beyond.
