Old Goa

Old Goa is amazingly beautiful in architecture and old churches.
We went to Church of St Francis of Assisi where I found this little lizard hiding behind water fountain and Helena kindly caught it for lil investigation and a photo shoot.
Please note no animals were hurt during this photo session :)

We also walked the past in Basilica of Bom Jesus where a silver casket with the body of St. Francis Xavier (1696) is on display, creepy looking stuff to me but people were taking loads of pictures i.e. selfies!

En route we visited one of the oldest Churches in Goa -
Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception (1541)
this Church is located at the centre of Panaji, the Capital City where we are staying. The Church towers over the City with a statue of Mother Mary at the front casting a watchful eye over its inhabitants. I see it every day and night from the hotel veranda :P
