Lapwings... you'll have to take my word for that. Biggest flock of them I've seen in many a year. Perhaps not the best lens for wildlife photography.

Escaped for a walk at lunchtime and experienced some daylight (and the above); cycled to/from work; and a swim this evening too. Unlikely to cycle again this week. Wild and cold weather on the way.
