Athol to Mossburn

This shot was taken near the beginning of the ride.
Today stared alright for the first 2 hours and then the wind got up to 30kms/hour and we were cycling straight into the wind. The bikes were heavy and my brakes kept sticking so we were pedaling as fast as we could and hardly moving. I actually got blown off the road a few times which was not too good. We decided to take the short cut recommended to us if the weather was bad, so only did 42kms.
That evening we stayed in the station hotel in Mossburn and were so tired that we went to bed at 8.30pm and slept for 10 hours!!
