Canna Lily

I have decided it's the weather.  I was looking at my journal this time last year, and it's full of the same kind of bitching and whinging.

So my advice to you is - simply ignore me.  I'm just crapping on.

This is my new canna lily. I have kind of fallen in love with them this year - we have a huge clump of tall ones in the back garden, which is spectacular this year, and it can only be down to the very wet winter we had.

This one is a lot shorter and will be in the front of the border.  Another thing I love about them is that you only ever have to buy one plant.  After the first year, they multiply like mad, and they are so easy to propagate. 

We have got a very sheltered shaded area which we are going to christen "The Tropical Garden".   .  It sounds very grand but it's only a small space which is hard to get into as it's right on the boundary, and embarrassingly close to our neighbours outdoor entertaining area.  So if we put a lot of foliage plants in there, we won't need to get in there to weed all the time.  That's the plan anyway.
