Windy Wellington

Yesterday we flew from Queenstown to Wellington. It is hard to say which was the most frightening, the taking off or the landing. It was so windy there was an enormous amount of turbulance and I was petrified. However, I am SO glad we didn't fly today as the wind is 50kms/hour gusting to 74  kms/hour. It is so strong that my hair was blowing totally upright and my husband's glasses blew off into the road!
We have come for 3 days to see friends who we met when we lived here 38 years ago.....
We were going to stay with them but the have the builders in so we are staying in a small hotel near the centre of town. This morning we walked round the city and took a bus to Newtown where we lived for some of the time we were here. Sadly, the house we lived in has been replaced by new apartments! 
We are going to meet our friends this evening for an Indian meal.
I have back blipped 3 days, when we did a cycle trail and we had no internet.
