A little unexpected adventure

Today was a little unexpected and unplanned adventure. Having got Annie back from work in Edinburgh at 12:40am last night after a number of delays, we were up again early this morning to head off on an impromptu trip.

The original plan for the weekend had been to do lots of jobs in the house, but I (Annie) like to think of Plan A's being just a rough draft, waiting for revision. While bored in the airport yesterday I was looking around for cheap last minute deals. As we have the girls with us until Sunday morning it needed to be local(ish). So we spent the day at Longleat Centre Parcs! 5 hours of swimming, slides and rapids - we're exhausted!

A great time was had by all. The blip (one by Chris, an HDR to capture the range of light and dark as the sun fell behind the trees) is part of the walk to our little last minute house. Chris and the girls have headed home so they're ready to go back to their mum; Chris will return tomorrow morning for the rest of the long weekend. It's never simple!
