As cold as ice

One of the first signs of winter is a BBC reporter standing huddled in a coat and thick scarf on a bridge over some motorway or other , with a bit of sleet blowing around informing us with incredulity that the traffic is still flowing freely. Well it would be, nothing's happened yet.
I hope these little lambs , the first ones we have seen locally, will be alright. I'm sure they will be , back in the days when we used to get winter weather , the sheep seemed able to cope.
