Snow time like the present

Visited mum this afternoon - it was raining heavily when I arrived. I came out 4 hours later to a couple of inches of snow on the car! I knew it was forecast - but I'm still surprised it settled after all that rain. The main roads were clear though - and when I got back into town there was no sign of snow at all.

Making soup now, parsnip, carrot and apple - and I might add some creamed coconut at the end - depends what it tastes like as its a bit of an experiment :)
