Torch light calf....

A cold day with some snow showers, but not anything like the forecast ( yet ). Think there has been more snow to the west and north, and they are welcome to keep it .
A night calving as A33 decided to produce this big bull calf at 9pm. We brought her in yesterday as she has looked ready for the last week. Only problem is her bag looks stuffed,maybe 2 tits working if lucky. Cheated tonight and fed the calf some artificial colostrum. Not as good as the real thing, but better than nothing. Will need to put the cow in the cattle crush tomorrow morning and see how much milk she actually has. One thing for certain, she won't be seeing a bull again ! And it is a big dopey looking bull calf which probably will need taught to suck . The joys .
