An Unhappy Machine

It's started to make a clicking/creaking noise. Very recently too; within the last hour. A quick search online has thrown up a number of possible fixes and reasons, each less appealing than the last. With a weekend of marking ahead of me, now is not the time for technological issues to arise.

Hopefully it'll feel better tomorrow, though I'm not holding my breath!
