Today's NHS news ...

Another day, another NHS visit, this time to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for the pre-assessment for my shoulder op at the beginning of February. They took various samples and explained loads of things and gave me oodles of leaflets to read. I then saw the lovely consultant who prodded my shoulder a bit more ... 1-3 hour op, followed by 2-6 weeks weeks off work, depending on the recovery ... I will be aiming for 2 weeks!

In other NHS news, my dad's op went well and they will keep him in till they think he is ready to go home, now waiting on biopsy results ... fingers crossed!

It has been one heck of a week, but hey, the NHS is wonderful!
