Arctic suburbs

It seemed the reservoir was keen to hold on to the snow today.  Too windy to freeze over, it seems, the snow had rested on the surface and been swept in a hurry over to one side.  

I'd already visited the lower reservoir where there was no snow or ice and barely a dusting on the ground. So when I found this looking like the outskirts of the Arctic, I was particularly delighted.
