RAJAH & PATAK'S
Wall to wall twilight today & non-stop sleet - pretty mucky murky...
Downtown to replenish the spice shelf.
Have to admit to loving India & most things Indian. India stimulates all the senses - first the smells - you can smell Bombay from 40 miles out to sea - very human. The when you get ashore - the jasmine, the patchouli & coconut oil take over.
At 5 am there's a rising tide of sound - mostly the human voice - then the omnipresent music - mostly raucous - sometimes sublime + the constant honking of horns.
The colours are breath-taking - you bus past a paddy field of brilliant pale green & there are women up to their knees in saris of orange, magenta & turquoise tucked up to keep dry..
The tastes are the most subtle & sophisticated & -
The touchy-feely's up to your imagination!!
