Old New Year

It's Old New Year's Eve today.  Russia (or as existed, the "Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic") officially accepted the Gregorian calendar in 1918.  However, Orthodox Church uses the Julian calendar so both holidays are celebrated.  This one much more passively than the other one.
