Hoppy in the snow

After a disastrous evening - streaming cold and at 8.30pm a power cut ,in spite of a log fire and lighted candles i took to my bed shivering, wearing more clothes than i usually don during the daytime.

Woke up to more snow that had settled. Everywhere was very grey and monochromatic.
This evening the snow has melted and has been replaced by slushy sludge.
