A sprinkling of snow
We have been lucky. At 9.00am this was the thin layer of snow, covering roof tops in Norwich. An hour later it was quite blizzard like. I contacted Mollie who was in Cromer. She was experiencing the same, and had to cycle home in it. Jon was in Cambridge and also had some snow. By lunchtime the paths were practically clear.
After much peering out of the windows, and discussion on the prospect of a cold weekend, I eventually left work at 4.15 and everyone was home by the time I arrived at 5.20.
After dinner, it was Morrisons time. We did the shop in super quick time. It was like supermarket sweep, with each of us heading off to different bits of the shop to grab bits off the list. I don't know how it stays in business, as the shop was empty and only one till was open. So we went on the self service with a conveyor belt. We only needed the poor shop assistant about 3 times. Anyway, we got 2 chicken and bacon pies for 19p and 2 steak and ale pies for the same price! And my overall shopping bill was an affordable £68. We decided we must have forgotten something!
At home, I washed up while M & H put the shopping away, then we played Pandemic. After an hour and 20 minutes, for the first time ever, with just 3 of us playing - we won!!! We beat the game. It was real teamwork. Jon was at scouts, so missed it. Its a really interesting game, and we learn a bit each time we play.
As usual, looking forward to a Saturday morning lie in. Mollie has been looking at videos of the rough sea coming over the pier, and battering the front. She is due to work Sunday, so we will take a trip down tomorrow to see how it has fared.
