Ties that bind

Excavating the front bedroom closet in preparation for a friend's visit, these reappeared carefully hung on a wooden hanger.  Each one has a story to tell, and I haven't worn any in over 3 decades.  So I've done what all the declutter books suggest which is to take a picture of them, thank them for their contribution to your life, and move them on to someone else.
I am dismayed at the toll of mindew and brown spots on bedlinens and other relics carefully (so I thought) put away.   Some are harder to repurpose than others, but saving them will never make them better.
