Rousay lap 2012

Another great day racing around an island in the wind. Not quite as windy as last year but it was still hard going and the gusts were a bit scary on the long, fast, downhill sections.

I managed to take 6 minutes off my time from last year but boy were my lungs burning as I crossed that finish line. And I'm proud to say that Ruairidh took 20 minutes off his time and moved up into the top ten places.

This is a pic of him on the ferry on the way home. He's looking incredulous because he just realised that I had stopped on the way round to take some photographs of the course.
