The sun had melted most of the snow in the fields on our walk beside the River Tyne between Haddington and East Linton this morning.  However the muddy path was still hard with the snow and frost which made it easier for walking and we were fortunate to see the first wild snowdrops in flower shortly before we stopped and watched a dipper in the river while we ate our picnic.
(I have just noticed that on the 14th I did snow blips last year and two years ago)
