Matilda

For Christmas the kids got tickets to see Matilda as their main present. Most of the other stuff they got from us was stuff they needed anyway, like clothes etc They were very excited about seeing the show.

Today was the day, but first Will had orchestra and choir and Carys had to finish her homework. We ran from the Music school to the station and caught the 11.30 train. Not bad considering choir finishes at 11.15. We had lunch in Pizza Express on Euston Road then walked to Seven Dials.

The show was fab, the best I have seen after Lion King. Carys loved it. Will did too but had loads of questions afterwards as it didn't stick to the story in the book which confused him a great deal. I definitely think having had the CD for a while and the kids knowing the songs really helped them enjoy it.

On the train home they were both struggling to stay awake despite it only being 18.00 when we got on. Will was straight to bed once home. Carys got sorted for tomorrow, had another chapter from the Goblet of Fire and was in bed soon after.

Early start tomorrow so I am off to bed too.
