Three shopping centres and a ballroom
What felt like quite a leisurely start to Saturday with plenty of time to get ready disappeared all of a sudden this morning. Bailey was walked but knew something was up based on lots of his stuff being in the hall and my bag too.
He was left to his own devices whilst the bestest friend and I headed to Leeds on the train. He wasn't left out too much though as the official Bailey sitter and his favourite have been in charge. His sleepover started quite early this evening by all accounts.
We arrived in Leeds and walked to our hotel to find that our room was ready already. Our bags were dropped off and then we headed back into the city and to the new Victoria shopping centre which is absolutely gorgeous, gold light fittings and all. Some purchases made and a plan to return before we headed outside and over to the second shopping centre complete with Andy Scott sculpture. We had a lovely late lunch and then back through to the third and oldest centre with its beautiful ceiling. We returned for a few previously considered purchases and then came back to the hotel with our haul with some satisfying bargains and not-to-be-bought-in-Lincoln items.
And, finally, the key part of my Christmas present plan from the bestest friend: Strictly Ballroom - The Musical. It was absolutely brilliant. Great new songs added to a storyline that I know well having first watched the film in a lecture hall when I was at uni - and many times since.
So, a collage blip has been required to do a very lovely day justice.
