Where Have You Been Poking Your Nose?

Oystercatcher - Haematopus ostralegus

Not happy with any of the images I captured today.  The low sun was still very strong leading to very contrasty lighting, not helped by the very contrasty plumage of this bird.

I thought it was important to capture the eye but in the process of doing so, the breast feathers became totally burnt out.
 
My 'extra' is a redshank which is not fully in focus but I liked the long shadows of the legs created by the low sun.
