Confused nature?

Have noticed this shrub before, and have no idea what it is, but it is blossoming at this time of year in spite of the ice and snow.  Just seems wrong!  It is in a little used area behind a supermarket, so the blooms have not been noticed by many - a shame as it is very pretty.
