Mount Kaukau

This magnificent view over Wellington Harbour was taken from the summit of Mount Kaukau (445m). From this viewpoint you have a 360° view from Wellington, Lower Hutt, Porirua and over to the Marlborough Sounds on the South Island, quite a vista! 
Only a few hours before this it was being hammered by winds of over 100kmh!
My Labrador Charlie joined me on the walk as usual, she absolutely loves it! In and out of the stream that runs through Khandallah Park on the lower section of the climb. The extra photo shows her at the summit.
