Christmas Is Over

We took down our poodle-sized Christmas tree this morning and put it in its box. It wasn't even the twentieth day of Christmas yet! But mum claimed it was time. And - we put my Santa sweater in the washing machine! I kept my paws crossed it would survive, and it did. Phew!

Mum went for groceries and came back with a semla! The semla season is here. Yay! A semla is a wheat bun filled with soft marzipan and whipped cream, to be eaten traditionally on Tuesdays during Lent. But nowadays it is available every day from Christmas to Easter....

We had an awesome movie afternoon with our friends Dolly and her mum, having fika and watching the movie The Way. It's about people walking the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. Mum was close to going there but got me instead, so it is special to us. My focus was on the semla, though.
