The Last of Xmas

I  heard somewhere :" keep Solstice greener until Candlemass " ( 2nd Feb ), but my homemade table decoration was beginning to look very sadly, so this morning dismantled it and put the berried Holly out for the birds.

Yesterday a very helpful small jobs man came with his girlfriend . Between us we rattled through it all : 3 new curtain rails up. 2 with curtains on. Furniture moved around in my bedroom to give more space . Or at least a sense of it. A bigger rug hauled out from under my bed and a smaller one slid in.
I cleared up after they'd gone and felt wrecked with a very stiff back but a few good stretches and a watch of Series one of Peaky Blinders ( again ) . I'm OK, but having a quiet day today.
