Baby Galah

We had a very hot & windy day on Friday. This baby galah must have been blown out of his nest. We found him near our chook pen on the ground yesterday. He tries to fly but is not very good at it. We have bought him in to care for him. This afternoon we put him outside and his parents came over to see him. They live in a big gum tree not far from us and spend a fair part of their day feasting on the grain for our chickens. He tried to fly off with his parents but only made it a few hundred metres. He is staying with us until he is strong enough to fly back to the nest.
