Snow Storm(s)
Hubby and I cooked a 'Big Breakfast' late this morning. Breakfast/Brunch out is not a big deal over here like it is in Australia so we have to do it ourselves. We had quite a bit of snow yesterday and this morning but the sun came out this afternoon so we decided to walk off brunch. By the time we had put on all our gear and got outside the wind picked up and it started to snow. We decided to stick to the forest as it is a bit protected but the wind was blowing straight down the lane. By the time we got to the end we had brilliant sunshine so we turned around and walked past our turnoff in the forest and down the oak tree alley. We could see the snow clouds gathering behind and the light was amazing. I have put some more photos on Flickr along with some photos Hubby not very sympathetically took of me weathering the next snow storm. As soon as we turned into the main street to go back home it started to snow with a vengeance with which I have never seen or been out in. Fortunately, we were only about 10 minutes from home and I was very grateful for our warm house, hot tea with rum, a roaring fire and the ski jumping on the tellie.
