Book Festival
Coco was very eager to get into the park this morning and hot footed it straight to the spot where giant bonios had been admistered the day before but, despite a really good beagle sniff about, not so much as a crumb found. Could tell she was disappointed.
We had a really enjoyable trip to the Edinburgh Book Festival, it's always lots of fun just to go and hang about for a while, the atmosphere is fantastic. We were going to see Eoin Colfer who writes wonderful childrens books about a child master criminal, some fairies and a dwarf with a wind problem. He was fantastically entertaining and as he had been billed as appealing to 10 -14 year olds kept both children enthralled. It was very funny but was touched as he described his teenage son who will no longer say,I love you, to his dad. A friend told Eoin that was nothing, wait until they start telling you they hate you, that really tears you apart. Ky, who's great at telling me she loves me but has also shouted that she hates me, gave my hand a wee squeeze and whispered sorry mum!
Loved these deck chairs,
to read the chair in the background!
