Nostalgia

How many of us were given one of these as a 21st birthday present? Mine was in 1961 - so it is now 55 years old - and hardly used as I never routinely used makeup. It was made by Stratton, one of the best makes at the time, and for loose powder as solid powder was not then widely used. I still have three 21st birthday presents - this compact, a marcasite necklace, and a Parker 'Lady' fountain pen. I also have all my cards - why? just seems wrong to throw them out after all this time, I suppose
