I wonder?

Having been so vividly reminded of our mortality recently, I got to wondering what the chances are of me surviving long enough to see these leaves high enough to NOT trail on the floor.
BTW It doesn't live up there, I just raised it to indicate the leaf length.

The parent was "rescued" prior to May 2012. I took this as a cutting between then & Nov 2012. 
It started to exhibit the "Trunk fattening gene" round about now. 
But as recently as 7th Nov, 15 had not got it into its head to extend leaf length.
