Not Wind Chimes

Another walk round the business park in the rain at lunchtime today. At least I'm getting away from my desk on a regular basis, even if I'm about soggy in the afternoon.

I've taken several photos of this 'sculpture' over the last few weeks and several people have commented that they look like giant wind chimes. I have no idea why, but they mark the edge of the business park. On the one side the verges and hedges are nearly trimmed while the other side they are more overgrown and more litter strewn.

I liked the range of colours in this picture despite the generally grey weather.

I spent most of the rest of the day training our new recruit. Slightly depressed by the fact that I realised that I started programming in this language 5 years before he was born. Not sure if he was bored of the sound of my voice by the time we finished, but I certainly was. And he will have another week of it yet.

Ended the day with a visit to the gym with Kar for a spin session. So far my back is holding up fairly well and it is great to be able to feel the muscular tiredness that goes with hard exercise again after more than 2 years. Of course it won't be in the morning.....
