End of an era

With tears in our eyes we watched Barack Obama deliver his farewell speech tonight. Eloquent as ever, he managed to shine in his presidency until the end. I cannot believe it has been eight years, eight year in which so much happened in the world and in our personal lives (his inauguration was shortly after I first met Marten, his second election shortly after we learned that we would be moving to the US). Let's keep our fingers crossed for the future to come. But a big thank you first to this remarkable President!
