Glühwein On The Frozen Havel

Beautiful freezing cold weather so essential to be  very  well wrapped up. Got the 218 bus intending to go to Peacock Island but on seeing this boat ( now a restaurant) I got off and sat drinking Glühwein . Served  with lots of fresh walnuts in the saucer ,it was delicious . The Havel was thawing in parts.. What was amazing was to see two hooded crows way out in the water on a ridge of thin ice . An egret came flying over but my cold hands fumbled so the image was too distant . For any who may visit Berlin the above boat restaurant is the  Alte Liebe... Inside it's lovely and the menu is excellent .
