9.8C and still with lots of cloud but not so dull, and occasional thinning of the cloud and sighting of pale blue in the sky. Light WSW/NW/W breeze.
Maeve the Deerhound was even more settled last night. I didn't have to get up until 6.15am.
Maeve and I went for a walk after lunch. Radio Scotland on the Clip. A more interesting "Brainwaves" than last week. This one on Stroke. We went round to the harbour then along past the ferry terminal to the park. The harbour looked almost empty today with very few boats there. At the end of the park we turned and came back along the street side then came home through town past the town hall and the bookshop (open).
Once Maeve was back home and settled I got my car and drove along to the little car park by the milestone at the Doirlinn which is marked with two miles to Campbeltown. When I arrived at the car park Viking Caledonia had just come in through the channel past Davaar island and I managed to catch it going across the loch by the shipyard towards the harbour. Dire Straits (Brothers in Arms) on the Clip. From there I walked out Kilkerran road past the 69 mile marker on the Kintyre Way past Davaar House then round Kildalloig Bay until I reached the 70 mile marker out towards New Orleans. There were lots of birds on the foreshore to look at on the way along. No seals. Not a boat in sight out at sea.
Other than two other walkers and one or two cars it was very quiet and calm round by Kildalloig bay.
Afternoon music ... Eagles, Hotel California.
