Pond life

Another 'first' for me today: my first walk of the year with Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers. Around 30 of us met in Condorrat, and in a change to the advertised walk, had a pleasant walk around Broadwood Loch, Orchardton Woods and Orchardton Pond. It was a grey, overcast day but there was an excellent variety of birdlife on Broadwood Loch.
My photos of these didn't turn out too great - partly because I was quite happy to walk along with the Ramblers, rather than wait to get the photos I wanted - so I'll just blip a photo of these two swans swimming on Orchardton Pond.
I suspect a (solo) return visit to Broadwood may happen sooner rather than later.
