It was definitely a day for a mono blip on the golf course, unrelentingly grey and dull. The golf was brighter though with both of us playing just better than our handicaps.

These four trees guard the back of the10th green in a fairly compact part of the course; just beyond, from left to right, are the 6th tee, 7th green and 8th fairway.

This afternoon we've been catching up on those sort of small jobs we've been meaning to do for a while and keep putting off.
