Wound up in Wexford

Sunrise

Up before dawn today, as we had a day trip to Hull (to collect some essential woodworking equipment).  After breakfasting, I noticed a rather fine sky.

We were treated to some lovely pink skies for the early part of our journey, but as we travelled West and North, the clouds banked up and the fog came down.  We crossed the Humber Bridge in quite foggy conditions.  The only photos I got during the rest of the day were some in Spilsby (where we stopped briefly for a basic cuppa, and a "toasted cheese and tomato sandwich" which turned out to be grated cheese and sliced tomato in two slices of brown toast!).  Turns out, Sir John Franklin was born in Spilsby, and there was a statue in the market place.

The weather improved as we travelled home.  I see we missed a rather fine sunset.
