During my lunch time wander I ended up in the National Museum, or more specifically, in the telecommunications gallery. It is really interesting to see the old technology. I was particularly amused to see my previous phone as a museum exhibit. They changed it round a bit. I am missing the cable trees but was well impressed with the talking clock. However, my main criticism still remains: the museum just shows things and names them, but there is no explanation of how they work. I think this is a missed opportunity. Still, I love going and will need to find out how a telephone exchange works elsewhere.
