Spirit of the salt spring

I met up with a friend of mine in Schwäbisch Hall- seat of salt production for centuries until the 19th century. It is said that the spring houses a kind of gnome watching over it.
I passed these three reliefs and for me they symbolised this spirit of the salt spring. Hopefully for good.
