Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis)

This is a common kingfisher of the Eurasian variety, of the UK and Ireland sub species (A. a. ispida) - sometimes referred to as the Eurasian River kingfisher. Smaller than the Ringed Kingfisher I know from Patagonia.
