The downside

Readers will know that I am regularly rabbiting on * about the joys of the village where I live. But like anywhere Arnside has its unattractive corners and here is one of them. This old boathouse is right by the shore. A few months ago several of these corrugated iron panels were missing and the rain was pouring in. Then they were repaired but already one of them has blown off and left a hole.

* I cannot use a phrase like this without wanting to know its origin. Google tells me that it is another product of Cockney rhyming slang. i.e Rabbit and pork means talk. But I also find that it is the name of a magazine for rabbit lovers.
