I went back to Pettycur (just 3 miles away) to see if there was any further sign of the humpback whale. No joy, though another photographer there showed me an image of it taken 'just 10 minutes earlier'.

I'll maybe pop down again tomorrow, but if it is not visible, I'm not wasting any more valuable blip time on this wild goose chase.
