mohair swallow

The swallows that took over my shed are now having fun swooping round my house,in company with about 50 others. Great to see them in these numbers,but ,alas, this is usually a precurser to their departure to Africa.
Shortly,one morning I will get up and not one will remain: always a reminder of summers (what summer??) end. What is most remarkable is that this little bird,still with a down jersey on, will make that journey too!
