The things you have to go through...

...to get a sale...
A day with my Romanian manager Tavi today - went well, interesting to see him in action, hear his assessments of how and why things went well or badly. Also good to communicate my feelings, worries and aspirations. He says there are a couple of things he is is going to do which will help my situation: (1) offer V a part-time job selling wine tasting vouchers (which should result in lots more local wine tastings for me); (2) give me the file of existing customers in my area - quite rightly, you have to prove yourself before you get these, as they want customers to have a long term relationship with their Advisor, not chop and change seeing various people of different "quality".
The dog belongs to Jeremy and Judith, both ex teachers, who were today's buyers. Nearly had another, serving the wine over a shop counter in Sutterton while shop was still open! But TJ Singh "couldn't afford" 12, despite proudly telling us all about his £77,000 Range Rover and his lavish lifestyle...
V been sorting funeral stuff. She visited her Dad in the funeral parlour today, and shed a few tears. She's pleased with the flowers which she chose, a Snow White tribute in memory of happy days when she'd run around Dad's shop wearing her Snow White dress. V's middle name is Jasmine, and as a toddler Naomi was similarly inseparable from her Princess Jasmine dress, ironically.
Funeral is tomorrow morning (Friday), please pray for / think of her. I am not welcome, and she wanted me to work - I'm hoping she's ok. I usually work Saturdays, but we've kept the day free so we can go out for the day... just considering where to go...
